If the Vista
LINK
® Pro server or other SNMP trap logging software is still not receiving traps, check that
the broadcast address has been set properly on the 5601MSC. If the logging computer is on a different
subnet than the 5601MSC you may need to contact your network administrator to allow SNMP trap
broadcasts to be routed to the logging computer.
5.3.3.5. Unit is not Locking to the Frequency Reference
1. If the 5601MSC is not achieving 100% lock to the reference, first verify that the frequency
reference supplied is within the Genlock Range selected (see section 2.2.3). If the lock mode is
set to “Slow”, it is possible that the 5601MSC is in the process of rephasing its oscillator to
match to reference. This “Slow” process gradually slews the oscillator to avoid any sudden shifts
or jumps that may cause problems downstream. If this is the case, the warning “REF JAM
NEEDED” will be displayed on the front panel and the “Reference Jam Required” fault will be
active. See section 2.2.4 for more information on Slow mode.
2. If the 5601MSC has reported 100% lock to the reference but is not in phase with the reference,
check that the Global Phase has not been enabled. The Global Phase settings shift the phase of
most outputs by a specified amount of time. See section 2.1.5 for more information on the
Global Phase controls.
