FEC
The Forward Error Correction allows the card to automatically recover lost packets. This increases the
productivity of the card by transporting data with better quality. Once the card is upgraded to the FEC
supported firmware, follow these steps to confirm if all configuration settings match the requirements to
enable FEC
:
1) Make sure these port values match on the TX and RX side WebPages; these can also be
monitored and controlled through VLPro. The Destination IP address should not be entered more
than one. To enable FEC the user must start three different TX side Proxies. For three different TX
side Proxies to receive the stream, the user may need the source to multicast its stream.
