Indicates which communications port is controlling the insertion or blocking of caption data onto each
CEA-608 caption service. The characters following the ‘C:’ represent services CC1 through CC4. The
four characters following the ‘T:’ represent services Text1 through Text4. The last character by itself
represents the XDS service.
Each character will be a letter representing the port (A-F) that has control over captions on that service,
or a dash ‘-‘ indicating that no port is controlling the respective service.
Example display:
C:ABB- T:ABBD A
This example shows: Port A is inserting/blocking captions on CC1, Text1, and XDS. Port B is
inserting/blocking captions on CC2, CC3, Text2 and Text3. Modem D is inserting/blocking captions on
Text4.
A232 B232 C232
Indicates whether the respective serial port (A-C) is configured for RS-232 or RS-422 communications.
Ports A, B, and C are configured to the RS-232 setting from the factory. Please refer to sections
2.1.4.4 and 2.1.4.5 to reconfigure the ports.
GPI abcDefG

This display indicates which GPI’s are asserted. The example above shows GPI d and g are in the
active state. An asserted GPI will be displayed in uppercase letters.
