The default setting is disabled. See sections 3.6.1.8 and 3.6.1.9 for setting the login name and
password text.
3.6.1.8.
Set Telnet Login (Port F only)
This control sets the login name that is used when telnet login and password authentication is enabled.
The character being adjusted will be flashing. Press
UP
and
DOWN
arrows to change the character.
Available characters are upper-case letters, lower-case letter, and numbers 0-9. A hash (
#
) character
indicates the end of the string, and is not part of the login name itself. Press
SELECT
to advance to the
next character. Press
SETUP
to exit when you are done.

Port x Permissions (x= A,B,C,D,E,F)
The Port x Permission option allows the user to enable/disable CEA-608 and CEA-708 services on
each of the ports. CEA-608 services include CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4, T1, T2, T3, T4, and XDS. CEA-
708 includes services 1 through 63. Each of these services can be enabled or disabled separately.
See sections 3.6.2.1 and 3.6.2.2 to configure these settings. All services are enabled by default.
3.6.2.1.
Set All Services
Set all Services allows the user to enable or disable all services at once. The Enable setting will enable
all services for both CEA-608 and CEA-708. Disable will disable all services in both CEA-608 and
CEA-708. After choosing Enable or Disable and pressing
SELECT
, the choice will change back to
Cancel.
3.6.2.2.
Service # (1-63, CC1-4, T1-4, XDS)
Each service can be individually enabled or disabled. CEA-608 services are CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4, T1,
T2, T3, T4, and XDS. CEA-708 services are 1 through 63.
3.6.3.
GPI Active LVLS
This control allows the user to set the GPI active levels.
3.6.3.1.
GPI x Active Level (x= A,B,C,D,E,F,G)
GPI’s A through G can be configured using this menu. The

represents GPI’s A through G. GPI’s A
through G can be configured either active High or active Low.
3.6.4.
GPI Caption Shift
The GPI caption shift feature allows the user to shift the baseline of the CEA-608 captions up by 2, 3 or
4 rows. This feature is used when weather crawl information is keyed onto the SD-SDI video. GPI’s A
through G can be selected to enable or disable this function.
