Connect to autopilot
The remote control unit of the Sonobot is necessary for system check-ups before the mission, as well as to manually steer
the vehicle during the mission, if needed to avoid an obstacle or in other case of emergency. As soon as the autopilot is
connected and launched, manual steering with the remote control is enabled as well.
Before connecting to the autopilot, make sure the remote control unit is turned on and is in Manual operation mode.
Please mind, that the remote control must also stay on when the autopilot is active. To avoid unexpected maneuvers of the
vehicle, the remote control unit should be turned off last, after the vehicle is completely powered off.
Follow the steps below to connect to the autopilot:
• Open the
Horizon
software on the field PC.
• From the
Autopilot control
drop down list in the left control panel, select
UAV-01
and press
Connect
.

• In the pop-up dialog, press
Yes
to confirm the connection request.
Upon successfully establishing the connection, the indicators in the status panel will light up green.
