Status Tab
The
Status
tab of the Sonobot 2 software is pictured below.

This tab displays information about the status of the vehicle’s systems.
• The voltage (in V) of the propulsion batteries is displayed by the corresponding bar indicators (
Left, V
and
Right,
V
, if viewed from the rear).
• The payload battery voltage (in V) is displayed by the corresponding bar indicator
Payload, V
.
The bar indicators turn red once the battery voltage drops down to critical 13 V.
Remember, that if voltage of any
battery pack drops down to 13 V, the mission must be stopped for battery recharge!
• The
GPS string
field displays the ASCII output of the GPS receiver as a set of comma-delimited values.
Please refer to the supplied manufacturer’s information for a detailed description of the GPS receiver output. This
field is for diagnostic purposes only.
The last measured depth value is displayed below the GPS string.
• The
DGPS Status
indicates the quality of the DGPS position fix:
- red light: the accuracy is low
- yellow light: GPS accuracy
- green light: DGPS accuracy
• By default, only GPS fixes of highest accuracy (RR) are stored into the log-file. The
Log RR values only OFF
box
turns this feature off, check the box to log all GPS fixes.
