Mode Transitions
While in Normal Operations Mode, the DTA will transition to pending initialization mode per Table 6.
While in Normal Operations Mode, the DTA will transition to Code Download Mode with the proper trigger for
code download.
While in Normal Operations Mode, the DTA will transition to Boot Mode if the proper headend message is
received.

Code Download Mode
Code Download Mode is entered when the DTA detects a new version of code is available for download. The DTA
enters Code Download Mode from Pending Initialization or Normal Operations Mode. In Code Download Mode,
the DTA will perform the code download function and block all video and audio decoding. It will however allow
the user to enter the diagnostic menu. Table 8 details the properties of Normal Operations Mode.
