Preparation of the PC for the Xesar 3.0 Installation
Before installing Xesar 3.0, Docker and the coding station driver must be installed on the
system PC (with Windows 10 Pro).

Docker installation
Docker is an open source software designed to isolate applications with container visuali-
sation. You must initially install Docker on your PC.
IMPORTANT:
Docker CE for Windows can only be installed on PCs with
Windows 10 Pro from
version 1511 (build 10586)
. If you have not installed the required Windows 10 Pro
version, run a Windows 10 Pro update.
4.2.1.1
Download Docker
IMPORTANT:
•
The current version Docker version release is
Docker Community Edition
18.06.1-ce-win73 2018-08-29
•
For more recent versions, please contact your EVVA Technical Office
prior
to in-
stallation.
•
If you reinstall Docker (Uninstall Docker and then reinstall it), all system data will
be lost. This is why all containers musk be backed up
before
Docker is unin-
stalled. This can be done as of version Xesar 3.0 SP1 with the
manual or auto-
matic backup function in the Installation Manager
.
•
Before a Docker update
, the Xesar system must be stopped in the Installation
Manager.
•
After importing a Xesar 2.2 system, the identification media must be updated.
