Transmit
LAPD Control
These READ/WRITE bit-fields select which Transmit LAPD controller is
activated to use D/E time slot for transmission. The following table presents
the different settings of these two bits.
N
OTE
: All three Transmit LAPD Controller can use D/E timeslots for trans-
mission. However, only Transmit LAPD Controller 1 can use datalink for
transmission.

00
Selects Transmit LAPD Controller 1 to use D/E
time slots for transmission.
Transmit LAPD Controller 1 can use any or all
24 D/E timeslots to transmit LAPD messages.
Register 0xn300 represents D/E time slot 0, and
0xn317 represents D/E time slot 23.
01
Selects Transmit LAPD Controller 2 to use D/E
time slots for transmission
Transmit LAPD Controller 2 can use any or all
24 D/E timeslots to transmit LAPD messages.
Register 0xn300 represents D/E time slot 0, and
0xn317 represents D/E time slot 23.
10
The TxDE[1:0] bits in the Transmit Signaling and
Data Link Select Register (TSDLSR - Register
Address - 0xn10A, bit 3-2) determine the data
source for D/E time slots.
11
Selects Transmit LAPD Controller 3 to use D/E
time slots for transmission
Transmit LAPD Controller 3 can use any or all
24 D/E timeslots to transmit LAPD messages.
Register 0xn300 represents D/E time slot 0, and
0xn317 represents D/E time slot 23.
