Second Betting Round

The second betting round is started

by the player to the left of the dealer.
The betting again proceeds until the
bets are even. Once the bets are even,
a fourth card is dealt to the table face
up. (This is called the “turn.”)

Third Betting Round

The third betting round is started

by the player to the left of the dealer.
The betting again proceeds until the
bets are even. Once the bets are even,
a fifth card is dealt to the table face
up. (This is called the “river.”)

Fourth Betting Round

The fourth betting round is started

by the player to the left of the dealer.
The betting again proceeds until the
bets are even. When the betting is
complete, the showdown occurs. The
computer says the name of the win-
ning hand, and the new amount of the
winning player flashes. The amount
in the pot and the user’s new amount
are also displayed.

Playing Additional Hands

Press the

key. “

” flashes to indicate the dealer for

the next hand. Now you are ready to
play the second hand. Continue play-
ing hands until you bankrupt all of the
computer players, in which case, you
win! If the computer players bankrupt
you, you lose.

Playing Pot Limit
Texas Hold ‘Em

POT LIMIT TEXAS HOLD

EM

is

played just like

LIMIT TEXAS HOLD

EM

, except that the betting rules vary.

When playing in the

POT LIMIT

mode, the player can press the

+25,

+100, +1000 or +10000

keys to add

to the bet amount. He can also press
the

-25, -100, -1000

or

-10000

keys

to reduce his bet. In addition, he can
press the

MIN

or

MAX

keys to bet the

minimum or the maximum.

The minimum allowable opening

bet is the amount of the big blind. The
maximum allowable bet is the
amount in the current

POT

.

The maximum allowable raise is

the size of the pot. The size of the pot
is defined as the total of the pot in the
middle plus all bets on the table plus
the amount the active player must
first call before raising.

The minimum allowable raise is

the amount of the previous bet or
raise. For example, if the first player
to act bets $100, then the second play-
er must raise a minimum of $100 (a
bet of $200).

Playing Limit
Texas Hold ‘Em

In the

LIMIT

game, the amount a

player may bet or raise is set by the
betting limits of the game. For exam-
ple, a limit of 10-20 requires bets or
raises to be $10 for the first two
rounds of betting, and $20 for the last
two rounds of betting.

After pressing

DEAL

/

ENTER

to con-

firm that you want to play

LIMIT

, press

again. The menu will show “

” (Tournament

screen).  Press the

select

(6 players). Press

After you confirm your selection,

one card will be dealt to each player
to determine who deals the first hand.
The player with the high card deals. If
more than one player have the high
card, the suits of the cards determine
the dealer. Suits are ranked from high
to low as spades, hearts, diamonds
and clubs respectively. The deal pass-
es to the left with each new hand.

Now press the

10-20.

Press the

time. You’ll hear cards being shuf-
fled, and then each player will be
dealt two cards. The user plays the
hand in position 6. Until the show-
down, he’ll be able to see only his
two cards.

First Betting Round

The player to the left of the big

blind has the first chance to bet. If
that is one of the five computer play-
ers, his play will be made automati-
cally. Any other computer players to
the right of the user will also make
their plays automatically.

When it’s the user’s turn, the

screen will display the betting options
available. The user then makes his
play by pressing one of those option
keys–

FOLD

CHECK

CALL

BET

or

RAISE

(Not all options are available,

depending on the situation.)

After the user has entered his play,

the computer players automatically
make their plays, and the screen again
displays the user’s betting options.
The user makes his next play by
pressing one of the option keys.

The game continues in this fashion

until the bets are even. Once the bets
are even, three cards are dealt to the
table face up. (This is called the
“flop.”)
