Maintenance
PHOTOBIOLOGICAL SAFETY NOTE
To ensure the best possible performance with optimal operation, the lamp should be kept clean
and dry. In particular, dust and other particles can settle in the heatsink (1), which could have
impact on the cooling performance and thus on that rated lifespan. Never use chemicals or solvents
to clean. Use a slightly damp cloth and clean the top and bottom of the lamp as soon as be dirt
becomes visible.
WARNING: The f/iSpectrum has been designed and classified as a product
of hazard class 2 according to DIN EN 62471 “Photobiological safety of
lamps and lamp systems”. Do not stare directly into the light beam. Long
and direct view into the light source can cause irreversible eye damage
and temporary reduction in visual acuity and afterimages that can cause
irritation, deterioration or accidents. Always wear protective glasses near
the light sources.
Hanging the f/iSpectrum modules
Each f/iSpectrum module can be suspended individually using the supplied suspension cables (2). In order
to hang a light, clamp one cable loop into the left and the other into the right groove (3) of the bottom side
of the heatsink and use the cable loop as a suspension point. The lamp can be angled when individually
hanging in the hanging ropes.
Another possibility is to place the modules on the f/iSpectrum rail system (4), which is specially designed
for hanging multiple f/iSpectrum modules. The rail system shall be mounted on the anticipated suspension
points (in total 4) of the side plates of the rails (5).
IMPORTANT: Always secure the modules in all hanging variations against falls.
Connection and operation
IMPORTANT: Always use the included power supply. Operation with another power supply than
the included may lead to failure of the f/iSpectrum module. Prior to connecting the f/iSpectrum,
make sure that the power plug of the external power supply (6) is unplugged from the power
socket.
To turn on the
iSpectrum LED Grow Light, use the dimming switch (8) on the front panel. The
dimmer allows the intensification of the light output of the spectral channels GROW and the
BLOOM. To switch on the iSpectrum, turn a dimmer clockwise along the curve up to the inscription
“MAX”. Turning off is operated by turning counter-clockwise up to the inscription marked “OFF”.
Powering the iSpectrum Grow light and switching it off, is confirmed with an audible “click” of the
dimmer switch.
WARNING: Always turn off the lamp by the dimming switch (8) and unplug the AC connection (7) before
connecting or removing the connector between the lamp and power supply (6).

Please note the order:
-
First connect the f/iSpectrum module to the power supply using the
plug connection.
-
Last connect the power supply to the power. When removing the
cables from the mains, reverse the order to prevent damage to the unit.
