Flow Control:
XON / XOFF
Every command and response is controlled by the CableSHARK using this software
flow control method (XON resumes transmission of data and XOFF pauses it). The
XON / XOFF flow control compensates for overflow errors that may exist at higher
baud rates or can exist if the user sends a command to the CableSHARK when the
CableSHARK is still processing information. In this instance, the XON / XOFF flow
control will indicate to the PC that the CableSHARK is busy.
Modem Init.
String:
To change the Modem Initialization String, use the Arrow Keys to move the cursor so
that the current Modem Initialization String is highlighted. Use the Alphanumeric
Keypad to enter the desired string. The Modem Initialization String follows the industry
standard Hayes Modem command Set. Press
ENTER
when the value is correctly
entered to save your changes. More parameters can be changed at this point, or
press
MAIN MENU

Set Factory
Default:

invoke the factory default settings. Setting SET FACTORY DEFAULT to YES will reset
the unit, clear the NVRAM, and invoke the factory default settings.
NOTE: THIS FUNCTION WILL ERASE ALL SAVED RESULTS THAT ARE STORED
IN THE CABLESHARK’s NVRAM.
There is no effect on results saved to USB Memory.
