Alarms/Errors - Ethernet/Fibre Channel
The alarms and errors are displayed with green, red, or amber background
when applicable, else will be displayed in gray. The error count and the
amount of time in seconds that the alarm remained raised during test
execution are also displayed.
Alarms
Link Down
: Indicates that the Ethernet/Fibre Channel connection is
down. The Ethernet/Fibre Channel connection is down when there is a
local or a remote fault condition.
LOS
: Indicates a loss of signal on the optical port.
Frequency
: A frequency alarm is raised when the frequency offset of
the receiving signal is over the standard limit of ±100 ppm.
Local Fault
: Indicates the loss of bit synchronization (PMA Link down),
loss of Block synchronization (PCS Link down), WIS Link down (only
applicable for Ethernet), and high BER. Local Fault is only available for
Ethernet 10G LAN/WAN or FC 10X interface.
Remote Fault
: Indicated that the Local Fault status reaches an RS, and
the RS stops sending MAC data, and continuously generates a Remote
Fault status on the transmit data path. Remote Fault is only available for
Ethernet 10G LAN/WAN or FC 10X interface.
Note:
Alarms/Errors are updated only during test execution.
Color
Meaning
Green No Error.
Red
A test is running and there is at least one error present (Current).
Amber There was at least 1 error reported (History).
