Changing Communication Settings

According to the communication type you have selected, customize
the corresponding parameters as shown below.
For GPIB
For information on bus timing or on high-speed mode, see the
section pertaining to obtaining an optimum performance from
your unit.
For RS-232
IQS controller and expansion units can have up to
four GPIB cards. Default value is GPIB0.
Select the check box to enable the
high-speed mode.
Bus timing (in ns)
The selected address must not already be
used by the GPIB bus controller or any
other device connected to the GPIB bus.
Default value is 12.
Serial port—used to connect the RS-232 cable.
Determines the speed at which data
is sent between the unit and a
computer, in bits per second (b/s).
End-of-string (EOS) character—used to indicate the
end of a data string (when sending or receiving data).
