Cable Connections
The graphic below shows the connectors on the MAX-630G device.
Note:
When connecting a DSL cable to the DSL port, use the RJ-11 plug end of the
26 AWG cable provided with the unit. There is a 1500 V maximum transient
voltage on telecom ports. Basic insulation is needed for external telecom
circuits.
Note:
For the connection setup, Annex B is on DSL pair 2 and Annex A is on pair 1.
(Dual Annex A and B units only)
Note:
In the MAX-63x-GVXAB model, to test an ADSL 1/2/2+ Annex B interface,
the Maxtester uses the second pair (pins 2-5) in the DSL WAN RJ11
connector. When connecting the unit to a wall socket with a modem cable
that uses the first pair (pins 3-4), use the red cable (pair 2) of the provided
ACC-BD-RJ test cable, RJ14 to dual RJ-11, and an RJ11 female adapter
ACC-RJ11-ADPTR.
