Connecting the record player to an audio source/hifi system
The audio output from the record player can be sent to an audio source/hifi system in
one of two ways:
• If you use an audio source/ hifi system which
lacks
a connection for a record
player (RIAA), set the
[ PHONO EQ / THRU ON ] switch (15) to
PHONO EQ.
The record player connection on the audio source/ hifi system is usually labelled
Phono/Gramophone).
• If you use an audio source/ hifi system which
has
a connection for a record player
(RIAA), set the
[ PHONO EQ / THRU ON ] switch (15) to
THRU ON
. The record
player connection on the audio source/ hifi system is usually labelled Phono/
Gramophone).
In both cases the connection between the record player and the audio source/ hifi
system takes place via RCA cables (sold separately) which are connected to the RCA
line-out sockets of the record player and the RCA line-in sockets of the audio source/
hifi system.
