4. MAINTENANCE & ADJUSTMENTS

Remove the key from the ignition switch
and engage parking brake before you do
any maintenance.

Touching a hot engine can cause severe
burns.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD

Allow the engine to cool completely before
service or making repairs around the
engine area.
4.1 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
4.1.1 Check rollover protection system (roll bar) pins
Service Interval: Daily
a) Make sure latch pin and hair pin are fully installed and lanyard is in good
condition.
b) Check seat belt for cuts or wear. Replace if necessary
4.1.2 Check for loose hardware.
Service Interval: Daily
a)
Stop engine, wait for all moving parts to stop, and remove key. Engage
parking brake.
b)
Visually inspect machine for any loose hardware or any other possible
problem. Tighten hardware or correct the problem before operating.
4.1.3 Check mower blades.
Service Interval: Daily
a)
Stop engine, wait for all moving parts to stop, and remove key. Engage
parking brake.
b)
Lift deck and secure in raised position as stated in Section 4.1.8.
c)
Inspect blades and sharpen or replace as required.
