Install the LPG Tank Bracket
1. Position the LPG tank bracket on top of the tank
and handle support so the lever is on the operator’s
LH side.
2. Install the four 5/16 x 3/4 inch carriage bolts
through the slots in the LPG tank bracket and tank
support. Secure with four flanged 5/16 inch nyloc
nuts.
Install the LPG Fuel Tank
1. Remove the LPG tank from the carton.
2. Have the tank filled by trained and qualified
personnel.
CAUTION
Under no circumstances should propane tanks
filled beyond 80% capacity be used in service.
The use of overfilled tanks may result in the
release of highly concentrated and extremely
flammable liquid propane. Refer to the Safety
section.
3. Carefully install the filled tank in the LPG tank
bracket. Align the slot in the base of the tank with
the indexing tab at the front of the tank support as
shown in Figure 2.

4. Latch the bracket and make sure the tank is securely
fastened to the mower. The latch may require
adjustment to fit the tank tightly.
5. Carefully connect the fuel hose; the threads are LH.
Make sure the hose is not kinked.
6. Slowly open the fuel valve to equalize the pressure in
the tank. If the fuel valve is opened too quickly, the
pressure relief valve is equipped with a back pressure
check valve that will shut off the fuel supply. If this
happens, close the fuel valve completely and wait five
seconds. Slowly open the fuel valve.
7. Check for leaks as described in the
Inspection
section of the Operator’s Manual.
Attaching the Throttle Cable
1. Route the throttle cable along the right side of the
upper handle, under the fuel tank support, and
position the cable on the
left
side of the engine.
2. Position the throttle control lever (located on the
console) in the full throttle position. You will feel a
detent when the throttle lever is pushed towards the
upper end of the slot.
3. Attach the inner wire of the throttle cable to the top
hole in the throttle control lever as shown in Figure 3.
4. Loosen the clamp, install the throttle cable on the
bottom side of the clamp, and pull on the cable to
move the throttle linkage to the full throttle position.
Tighten the cable clamp screw.
