Drive Wheels Adjustment:
WARNING
Engine must be running and drive wheels
may be turning when adjustment is
performed. Contact with moving parts or
hot surfaces may cause personal injury.
Keep fingers, hands, and clothing clear of
rotating components and hot surfaces.
a. Start the engine and release the parking
brake.
b. With the drive lever ramps set and
tightened (see
Adjust the Neutral Ramp
section), place the drive levers in the
neutral lock position.
c. Move either OPC lever to the operating
position.
Note:
At least one of the OPC levers
must be held down and the park brake
must be disengaged whenever the speed
control lever is moved out of neutral or
the engine will kill.
d. Push the speed control lever to the full
forward position.
e. Adjust the length of the LH and RH
steering rods until the wheels are not
turning.

f. Move the drive levers to the full forward
and reverse and then back to neutral to
make sure wheels are not turning. Check
with the neutral lock latches engaged.
g. Tighten the rod hardware.
Important:
Rods must be free to pivot
on rod end balls after adjustment.

Speed Control Lever Adjustment:
a. Stop engine and wait for all moving parts
to stop.
b. Place the drive levers in the neutral lock
position.
c. Loosen the upper and lower nuts on the
speed control rod (see Figure 36).
