Fly: Place the fly over the tent, aligning the color-coded buckle straps

in the fly’s cor

ners with the matching colored straps at the inner tent’

corners (r

ed-to-red, gr

een-to-green). Insert the spr

eader-pole ends, at the

top of the tent, to the grommets on the under

-side of the fly above each

door. Attach the quick r

elease buckles at all four corners of the tent floor

Loosen each of these buckles in preparation for staking.

Stakes and tension: Before staking to the gr

ound, take this opportunity to

re-position the tent for maximum comfort (wind, r

oots, rocks, slope, etc.)

Any tent is made much more stable in wind when pr

operly tensioned,

staked and guyed. At a minimum, one stake at each vestibule can be

sufficient in light weather. For gr

eater strength and weather r

esistance,

additional stakes through all anchor loops at the pole ends ar

e recom

mended. In all cases, stability is increased by tightening the stake lines

via the buckles at the base of each vestibule, as well as the fly-tensioners

at the base of each pole. In strong wind, use of the included guy lines

strengthens the structur

e.

Tear

down

Stakes: Remove all stakes and release guy lines.

Poles/Clips: Unclip the fly from all four cor

ners. Next, detach the fly grom

-

mets from the spr

eader-pole ends. Remove the fly and fold it lengthwise,

matching the width of the stuff sack. Car

efully remove all poles fr

om

inner-tent gr

ommets. Note that these poles are curved and under tension,

so release them slowly

. Carefully collapse pole/hub assembly and place

in pole/stake bag.

Pack: Spread out the inner tent and fold the long sides of the tent in

thirds so the width corr

esponds to the stuff sack length. Place the full

accessory bag at one end of the folded tent as a rolling aid and r

oll the

tent tightly. Now r

oll this bundle into the fly. Slip the r

olled tent into the

stuff sack and tighten the compr

ession straps.

Tips and Tricks

–

Before heading out on a trip, check that no parts ar

e missing, make

necessary repairs and r

eplace any damaged parts.

–

In soft terrain, like sand or snow, tie the guylines to the center of the stakes

and bury them square into the gr

ound. Consider Exped Sand and Snow

 Anchors.

–

Keep the tent properly vented at all times.

–

To incr

ease vestibule space, partially unhook the inner canopy

and push it back. Inner canopy can be removed entir

ely for maximum

 space.
