Right footrest side – rear brake master cylinder
Place a container under the brake master
cylinder, remove fluid hose clamp, and drain
out the brake fluid.
Loosen the brake hose bolt and finally remove
the brake hose.
Remove the E type clip, and remove brake
push rod pin.
Remove the master cylinder socket bolts and
the master cylinder.
Disassembly
Remove the rubber boot.
Remove the cir-clip.
Remove the piston and the spring.
Clean the master cylinder with recommended
brake fluid.
Master Cylinder Inspection
Check the master cylinder for damage or
scratch.
Replace it if necessary.
Measure the cylinder inner diameter at several
points along both X and Y directions.
Replace the cylinder if the measured values
exceed allowable limit.
Allowable limit:
Hand brake 11.055 mm
Foot brake 18.955 mm
