Special safety requirements
Always wear protective glasses, work trousers and safety shoes to protect your eyes,
feet and legs against loose items that can be thrown up by the machine. Wear sturdy
work gloves to reduce vibrations in your hands. Take regular breaks when working
with the machine.
The machine must not be used by people with reduced sensitivity, or a physical or
mental disability, unless they are supervised or have been instructed in use of the ap-
pliance in a safe manner and have thus understood the associated risks. Never allow
children to use the machine. Keep the machine out of the reach of children. Never
leave the machine unattended while it is plugged into the mains.
Keep other people and animals away from the area whilst using the machine.
Always hold the machine by the handle with both hands.
The machine must only be used outdoors in private gardens. It is not intended for
commercial use.
Do not use the machine in wet or rainy conditions or surroundings. Do not use in
frosty weather.
Remove all objects from the grass to be treated before you start. To prolong the
service life of the machine, try to avoid hitting stones and similar objects with the
blades or springs.
Do not use the machine on steep slopes. Make sure you have a firm footing.
Keep hands and fingers well away from the blades and springs while the machine is
in operation.
