REPLACING THE FUSES
WARNING:
To avoid electrical shock, disconnect the meter from any circuit, remove the test leads
from the input terminals, and turn OFF the meter before opening the case. Do not operate the meter
with an open case.
1. Disconnect the test leads from the meter and from any device under test.
2. Remove the four Phillips screws on the rear of the meter (2 at the top edges and two at the middle
edges of the meter).
3. Gently pull the meter’s rear cover off of the meter to access the fuses.
4. Gently remove the old fuse from its holder and install the new fuse into the same holder.
5. Always use a fuse of the proper size and value (0.5A/250V fast blow for the 400mA range,
20A/250V fast blow for the 20A range).
6. Re-assemble the meter by replacing and secure the rear cover with the screws.
WARNING
: To avoid electric shock, do not operate the meter until the fuse cover is in place and
fastened securely.
