2.7 - Inertia Sensor
• The Inertia Sensor communicates with the DVR via it’s connection to the I/O Hub. There
are two data channels that may be used, either COM 3
or
COM 4.
• The DVR must be configured to use the Inertia Sensor under its peripheral configuration
menu, therefore it is important to be sure that the selected COM channel on the DVR
matches the wiring of the Inertia Sensor.
• The peripheral option for the selected COM channel must be set to “ACCELERATION”
on the DVR’s menu: SETTINGS > PERIPHERAL > EXT. COM SETUP
NOTE: THE INERTIA SENSOR MUST BE CALIBRATED BEFORE USE BY SELECT-
ING THE “CALIBRATE” OPTION ON THE DVR’S MENU:
SETTINGS > EVENT > ACCELERATION
