Correct alignment and positioning at the eye
The distance setting has to be checked immediately after the start of treatment. Because the setting
usually takes only a few seconds, the treatment can be continued. Hold the device firmly with one
hand for distance correction and solve the terminal screw on the cross piece of the stand for height
adjustment with the other hand. Now move the device gently up and down a few millimeters until
the edge of the beam spot is sharply reproduced on the eye (Figure 42). Freeze the position with the
clamp screw on the cross piece of the stand.

The fine positioning of the beam on the eye is done by rotating it on its axis. After adjustment, the
clamp on the stand has to be tightened again.
4.7.3
Adjustment of beam diameter
The beam diameter of the device can be adjusted between min. = 7 and max. = 11mm on the
patient`s eye. Because the setting usually takes only a few seconds, the treatment can be continued.
First the fixation of the aperture adjustment has to be loosened. Now you can set the size of the
beam diameter with the lever. Subsequently, the lever has to be locked again by clockwise rotation.

The aperture must be fixed during the "Illumination check" and during the treatment
by turning right the control lever.
