Charging the Ba ery “On Board”
“On
Board”
charging
means
the
ba ery
is
connected
to
the
EZ
Lite
Cruiser’s
Power
Input
connec on,
to
supply
the
chair
with
power.
First,
ensure
the
ba ery
is
plugged
in
to
the
chair,
at
the
Input/Power
plug
(see
page
23
for
photo.)
Next,
Insert
the
charger
into
an
electrical
outlet,
which
will
cause
the
charger
light
to
turn
on.
The
light
will
be
Green
.
Lastly,
Insert
the
charger
round
metal
p
into
the
Joys ck
(see
page
23
for
photo.)
GREEN Indicator light means either that the ba ery
charging has
fi
nished, or is taking a break** (see below).
It can also mean that there is no ba
Ʃ
ery connected!
RED Indicator light means that the ba ery is charging.
**
If
you
are
pa ent
and
watch
the
ba ery
charging,
you
may
no ce
that
the
charger
light
will
change
from
Red
(charging)
to
Green
(not
charging)
and
shortly
therea er
back
to
Red
(charging)…..
Green
(not
charging),
Red
(charging),
etc.
This
happens
because
the
BMS
(Ba ery
Management
System
is
going
through
and
charging
all
the
cells
in
the
ba ery
pack.
Please
be
pa ent
and
wait
for
the
charging
to
be
completed
fully.
Before
disconnec ng
the
charger.
Disconnec ng
it
too
quickly
at
the
fi
rst
Green
light
on
the
charger
may
be
a
false
‐
posi ve
indica on
that
charging
has
completed,
when
in
actuality
it
has
not!
When you see that the light on your charger has re
‐
mained
Green for at least 30 minutes
, that is when you
know the ba ery charging has completed.
