Type A - Open close line for MITEL SX 10/20/50
Go into programming mode. At program No. prompt press 116. Select the
ENABLED
option by
pressing YES or NO key
The next screen allows you to set the dialing speed. No changes are necessary to this screen. Press
ENTER key.
The screen will now show the type of phone system that has been selected. By default, it will be
MITEL BASIC OPEN/CLOSE
type.
If any other type is displayed, press the left or right arrow key repeatedly, till the above is displayed.
Press the ENTER key.
Press EXIT key to return to main screen.
Now whenever someone is checked in/out or if an extension exceeds its credit limit the Call a
Matic will respectively either open /close the line for the required extension through the MSG reg
function without any operator intervention.
TYPE B - SX20/50 ALLOW 1/2/3
(1 TRUNK GROUP)
Go to program 116. Select the

Select “Add” option by pressing the left or right arrow keys till the blinking cursor is on the Add option
and then press the YES key. To do RANGE programming, press the BLUE key at this point. The prompt

In the above prompts, enter a 2-digit port number for SX20 (Port numbers are in the range 01 to72)
and a 3-digit port number for SX50 (Port numbers are in the range of 001 to 160). Enter a 3-digit room
number. The class of service digit is required for SX20 only.
