ELECTRICITY HAZARDS
Make sure that the electric cables of the machine
and the mains plug, that it is connected to, are in
good condition and not worn. Never use a dam
-
aged machine or a machine with damaged or worn
electric cables and plugs. Do not expose the ma
-
chine and the electric cables to wet conditions and
never touch when wet. Do not use the cable to pull
the plug out of the socket. The electric power cable
must never be under mechanical tension and must
be protected against accidental crushing.
The electric connection must be performed by
qualified technicians who are able to work in ob
-
servance of the governing rules (in compliance
with the provisions of the IEC 60364-1 standard)
and of the manufacturer’s instructions. The high
pressure cleaners with power lower than 3kW are
equipped with a plug for connection to the electric
supply. In case of doubt, please refer to qualified
personnel. If the socket and the plug of the ma
-
chine are not compatible, have the plug replaced
with a suitable type by qualified personnel. Before
connecting the machine make sure that the data
indicated on the plate correspond to those of the
electric supply. Do not use extensions to power the
high pressure washer. If you use an extension, the
plug and socket must be watertight. Unsuitable ex
-
tensions may be dangerous. The electric safety of
this machine may be assured only when it is prop
-
erly connected to an efficient grounding system
in accordance with the governing laws for electric
safety (In compliance with the provisions of the
IEC 60364-1 standard). The high pressure cleaner
must be connected to the electric supply by means
of a switch with opening contacts of at least 3mm.
This switch must have electric features which are
consistent with the appliance (This requisite does
not apply to high pressure cleaners with plug and
electric power lower than 3 kW). It is recommend
-
ed that the electric supply to this machine should
include a residual current device that will interrupt
the supply if the leakage current to earth exceeds
30mA for 30ms. A wrong electric connection may
cause damage to persons, animals or things, and
the manufacturer cannot be considered responsi
-
ble for these.
NOISE AND VIBRATION HAZARDS
The noise levels shown in these instructions are
the maximum levels for use of the machine. Insuf
-
ficient maintenance has a significant impact on
vibration and noise emissions. Consequently, it
is necessary to take preventive steps to eliminate
possible damage due to high levels of noise and
stress from vibration. Maintain the machine well,
wear ear protection devices, anti-vibration gloves
and take breaks while working.
WORKING AREA HAZARDS
Thoroughly inspect the whole work area and use
a rake or yard brush to manually loosen debris
and remove anything that could be a hazardous
source to you or cause damage to the machine.
Keep work area clean and tidy. Keep the machine
away from flammable material. Check that there
are no bystanders, animal or items that could be
damaged within the machine’s range of action. Do
not use the high pressure cleaner when persons
or animals are in it’s of action field. High pressure
jets may be dangerous if not properly used. The
jet must never be directed at persons or animals,
electric appliances or at the appliance itself. Do
not direct water jets at your own or other people’s
body in order to clean clothes or shoes.
Work only in daylight, or with suitable artificial
light, in good visibility conditions. Try not to cause
any noise disturbance, by only using this machine
at reasonable times of the day.
Take on a firm and well-balanced position. Where
possible, avoid working on wet, slippery ground
or in any case on uneven or steep ground that
does not guarantee stability for the operator.
The machine must be always used on a firm and
flat ground. Furthermore, it must not be moved
while it is working or connected to the electric
supply.
REMAINING HAZARDS
The machine was built using modern technology
and in accordance with recognized safety rules.
Even when all safety measures are in place, some
remaining hazards, which are not yet evident, may
be present. The operator should use common
sense and take necessary precautions to avoid risk
due to remaining hazards.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
INTENDED USE
This machine is designed and manufactured for
cleaning machines, vehicles, buildings and gene
-
ral surfaces suitable for treatment with a high pre
-
ssure jet of detergent solution between 25 and
250 bar (360 - 3600 PSI). This appliance has been
designed for use with the detergents supplied or
recommended by the manufacturer. The use of
other detergents or chemicals may influence the
safety of the appliance.
Any other use differing from the above-mentio
-
ned ones could be hazardous, harm people and/or
damage things and the machine itself.
IMPROPER USE
This machine must not be used for:
f
Washing surfaces not suitable for cleaning with a
high pressure jet.
f
Washing people, animals, electric equipment or
the machine itself.
f
Using unsuitable detergents or chemicals.
f
Blocking the trigger (lever) of the lance in delivery
position.
Other examples of improper use may include, but
are not limited, to operation of the machine:
f
Without the original accessories supplied by the
manufacturer.
f
With original accessories but in a way not in accor-
dance to the instructions.
f
Without original spare parts.
f
With unauthorized modifications.
