2.6 Battery Care
Never store the device over extended periods with empty
battery, as the resulting deep discharge would damage the
battery permanently.
Significantly discharge the battery at least three to four
times a year, by running the device for at least 3 hours on
battery (i.e. without applying aircraft power).
This trains the battery, and it allows the device to measure
the remaining battery performance.
Afterwards the battery should be recharged.
2.7 Calibration
In order to maintain the accuracy of the airspeed indicator
and the altitude indicator, it is recommended to have the
device recalibrated in regular intervals of 4 years – in case
of severe operational conditions more often.
