The power inverter is equipped with technical
features to protect itself and/or connected exter-
nal devices.
An alarm sounds when protection is active.
Feature
Description
Overvoltage pro-
tection
If the input voltage exceeds
15.5 V ± 0.5 V the power
inverter will switch off.
The voltage converter
automatically switches on
again when the input voltage
reaches nominal voltage
again.
Low-voltage protec-
tion (protection for
the battery of the
vehicle)
If the input voltage drops
below 10,0 V ± 0,5 V.
When the input voltage
returns to the rated voltage,
the voltage transformer
automatically switches
back on.
Short-circuit pro-
tection
Automatic cut off
Overheat protection
If the indoor temperature
rises above approx. 68 °C
the unit will automatically
switch off.
If the temperature falls
below 35
˚
C, the voltage
converter automatically
switches on again.
Overload protection
The unit will automatically
switch off.

Explo
s
ion and fire
hazard!
•
Keep sources of ignition (e.g. lit cigarettes)
away from battery.
•
The device and the drained battery must have
the same voltage (see specifications on the
battery).
•
Do not use the device in rooms where explosive
or flammable substances are stored (e.g. petrol
or solvents).
•
Always place the device in a safe, well-ventila-
ted area.
•
Thaw frozen batteries before starting.
•
Ensure the on-board voltage matches the input
voltage (15 V DC) specified on the device to
prevent a fire hazard and damage to the device.
•
The vehicle’s engine displacement must be
within the approved range of the jumper leads.
•
The drained battery must be connected to the
on-board power supply.
•
Only use chargers recommended by the
manufacturer. Using other chargers may result
in a fire.
•
Do not expose the device to direct sunlight.
•
Batteries can burst or explode if thrown into
fire or exposed to extreme heat. Do not expose
the device to extreme heat.
