Zero Faders and Pan Pots
A fader can be set to exactly zero dB by holding down the
BLUE
key and touching the fader.
Similarly a pan pot can be placed exactly in its centre position by holding down the
BLUE
key and
touching the pan pot.
The Soft Key
When automation Mix On is selected and either the Mix or Enable menus are displayed, the Soft Key on
each fader strip can be used to add the feed to the enable matrix.
The Soft Pot
By default, the Soft Pot controls left-right panning. To change its function:

Hold down the blue
Pot
button (next to green
Proj
button)
A number of choices appear on keys just above the Pot button. They include:
Pan LR
Pan FB – used for Buses with surround elements
Ch Trim – sets a digital level control in the channel
Rec Lvl – sets the level going to record (for tracks only)
Pan UD – sets a third pan channel used in some custom systems
Dist – sets a parameter called Distance in some custom systems
Aux 1 to Aux 12

The chosen parameter is shown on the button
It is also possible to toggle between “standard” panpot operation, which is Pan LR, and the last “non-
standard” setting you made. This is done simply by pressing and releasing the
Pot
button.
Note:
If you have not chosen any non-standard setting since the system was started, the
Pot
button
toggles between Pan LR and Pan FB, which is useful for 5.1 surround work.
