10.8 Replacement of the needle holder bar
Proceed as follows:
. turn off the main switch and disconnect the machine cable from the main supply.
. unloose the 2 screws placed on the clamp n.7418.00,
. unscrew the 2 screws n. 90030.5,
. remove the needle and the needle clamp n.5415.11,
. slide the needle holder bar out, and replace it with a new bar,
. position the needle holder bar n.5415.20 in its lowest possible position, turning the hand wheel
replace the needle clamp and the needle,
. check that the upper tip of the needle is between 0.5 mm and 1mm underneath the lower
flared edge of the whirl center hole.
. tighten the two screws placed on the clamp n.7418.00 and check that the antirotation block
n.5474.00 makes contact with the foot bar n.5417.20 if it were not the case, unloose the screws
n.90008.5, replace the antirotation block and tighten the screws,
. turning the hand wheel, lift up the needle holder bar,
. remove the whirl n.0533; replace the tip,
. turning the hand wheel, place the needle holder bar in its lowest possible position,
. turn the needle holder bar until the needle is at the center of the whirl but without changing its
height,
. tighten the 2 clamp svrews,
. replace the whirl.
