11.1
Heater.
The heater system must be filled with shoemaker’s wax or parafin.
The wax or parafin is melted by the electrical heating resistor.
The temperature of the heater is set using the thermostat TEMPERATURE RESISTOR SETTING and the
choice of the voltage (20 or 24 volts) is obtained using the three way switch HEATER RESISTOR SWITCH.
Before use, the sewing thread must be soaked in the wax or parafin, and then wound on the spool by the
spool winder.
To soak and wind the thread, run the spool as shown in the drawing. If the thread has been pre-treated, it is
wound on the metal reel and passed through the heater all the same, but without containing any wax or
parafin.
