11.1.1. Spool stripper plug adjustment.
After wax or parafin soaking, on leaving the heater, the thread then passes through a rubber stripper plug
n. 0061 set in a housing in the heater cover.
This stripper plug is used to remove excess wax or parafin from the thread, leaving only the quantity
necessary for good stitching results.
To set the pressure of the stripper plug, tighten or loosen the stripper plug presser screw n. 2504.
11.2 Preparation of shuttle spools using spool winder.
For this operation proceed as follows:
- Turn off the machine using the MAIN SWITCH.
- Place the thread bobbin in the support set in the lower right hand side of the machine base.
(access obtained by opening the front door).
- Unwind the end of the thread from the bobbin, pass the thread through the appropriate passages
inside the heater.
- Begin to wind the end of the thread around the empty bobbin.
- place this bobbin on the support pin of the spool winder.
- Push to insert the guide lever into the bobbin to provide the correct winding tension.
- The bobbin winding will happen automatically during the stitch work, stopping it when the bobbin
will be full,
- Cut off the thread near the bobbin.
- Remove the bobbin that has just been wound from the support pin.
