MAMBOII supports and operates in two communication modes, the
Command
and
Data
mode. In
Command
mode set to
“
C
”
, it waits for PFAL commands. In
Data
mode, all received commands/messages (any text) are redirected as they
are without processing any of them to redirection channel
. The
defines the communication mode to be used on this channel. It can be
set to:
Value
Meaning
C
Places the TCP channel in
command mode
. Everything
sent to the MAMBOII over this channel will be processed
as a PFAL command. Responses to the sent command
are also returned over the TCP channel. However, if
<out_sys_messages>
is greater than 0, all selected
messages will be continuously output over this channel.
D=
Places the TCP channel in
data mode
. Everything
sent to the MAMBOII over this channel is redirected to the
specified channel <
> without processing
any of them. In this mode user messages without leading
“PFAL” can be used. However, if <
> is
greater than 0, the selected messages will be transmitted
continuously through the specified channel
<
>. See also chapter
page
reference.
<
msg_out_chan
>
Specifies the channel to redirect the
data. It can be set
to (without leading “
0x
“):
0x0
1
Redirects data to the serial channel.
0x0
2
Redirects data to the CSD channel.
0x0
4
Redirects data to the TCP channel.
Notes
•
In order to deliver more than one system message at once, specify the sum
determined by adding the corresponding hex value of each system status, for
example:
−
the hex value
C
means: GPEVENT + GPACTION of system status will be
delivered all others are disabled.
•
cmd,0
”, indicating
that the system-related messages are disabled. Means, no system messages
will be transmitted from the MAMBOII unit over TCP channel. However, only
PFAL commands are accepted.
•
Please note that, changes to these settings may set the MAMBOII device in a
mode where it can only be reconfigured via SMS. If the SMS communication is
disabled, the system cannot be reconfigured anymore. A Firmware update is
necessary to exchange information (enable communication) with it again.
