5. Traffic-Control
FALLER Car System is synonymous with the pure fascination of driving. In
this regard the Traffic-Control unit will make the regulation of your minia-
ture traffic radically easier. All control components, that is to say branch-off
junctions, stop sections, parking spaces, and sensors, are connected to the
Traffic-Control unit. Just selecting preconfigured programs will allow you to
organize the traffic procedures entirely to your personal liking.
ADVICE:
The activation time of an output can be adjusted, depending on
the program selected, using the potentiometers, or the procedure will use a
period of time that is preset in that program.
Components
Components are the standard functional elements that will allow you to
regulate Car System traffic on model installations. While the three functio-
nal elements that are »Branch-off junction«, »Stop section« and »Parking
space« are connected to the outputs of the Traffic-Control unit, sensors are
connected to the inputs of that unit. Alternatively, you may also want to use
switches and push buttons for input signals. Each component is provided with
two wires, one of which has to be connected according to the specifications
in the program and the second that is still free has to be connected to “+”.
ADVICE:
All inputs are potential free, that is to say, there must be no vol-
tage at such inputs.
Branch-off junction, Art. 161677
Whenever it is activated the magnetism of the branch-off junction steers
a vehicle onto a second turning-off guide wire. This occurs via the magnet
fastened to the steering slider built into the vehicles.
