Warning: If the Clear-Fall Requirements in the worksheet above can not be met at
your work location, you will need to increase the set back distance of the
EcoAnchor/Checkline System or look for an alternative system. Failure to provide
adequate Clear-Fall Distance may result in serious injury or death.
Appendix B – EcoAnchor with PSR Clear-Fall Requirements
When a pair of EchAnchors are used with the PSR 2-User Temporary Horizontal
Lifeline System, the flexibility and movement of the anchors during a fall event changes
the performance of the Horizontal Lifeline (HLL) element when compared to its typical
performance when attached to rigid anchorages. When using the PSR THLL with
EcoAnchors, refer to the PSR Instructions for the installation procedure, but use the
values below to evaluate Clear-Fall Requirements.
In order to properly demonstrate the feasibility of this system and to plan for the
Clear-Fall Requirements of this system, please review the following details:

slide in a fall event.
In order to determine the actual Clear-Fall Distance you will need to plan for, use the
chart on the next page. In the column that shows the length to which your HLL will be
adjusted, enter the
Actual Free-Fall Distance
your system will allow when installed and
the
Height of the tallest worker
who will be using your system. To determine the total
Clear-Fall Required, add the five numbers in that column together.
