Hint! (Operating conditions)
Due to its structural characteristics, the device is designed for indoor operation (IP20).
Never expose the unit to rain, moisture or liquids as this may cause damage.
Vibrations, dust or sunlight can also cause damage, avoid them!
Hint! (Power supply)
This large diaphragm condenser microphone is operated with phantom power. According
to DIN 45596, phantom power is a positive voltage of 12, 24 or 48 volts on both AF lines
compared to the cable shielding.
The phantom power usually comes from mixing consoles, sound cards or microphone
amplifiers, sometimes also from batteries.
If you do not use your device for a long period of time or carry out maintenance work,
disconnect the device from the power source in order to minimize danger. Never pull the
cable while phantom power is active!
Hint! (Condensation)
To avoid condensation in the unit, the unit should adapt to the ambient temperature
before commissioning.
Hint! (Unwanted odours)
A new product can sometimes lead to unwanted odours. This reaction is normal and
disappears after a few minutes.
Hint! (Damage to loudspeaker diaphragms due to feedback)
Avoid feedback by keeping the microphone away from activated speakers that are
simultaneously listening to the signal. If necessary, turn off the speakers completely.
Hint! (Sensitive microphone capsule)
To avoid damage to the microphone capsule - never open the microphone basket!
Hint! (Sound pressure level/noise level to noise distance)
Observe the specified sound pressure level/noise level spacing to prevent destruction of
the diaphragm caused by extreme levels.
