Turn power off before removing or installing on the camera.
To install the HDV-Z180/HDV-Z180S
To remove the HDV-Z180/HDV-Z180S
1. As the figure shown, rotate the Hot Shoe Adapter clockwise into 1/4" mounting
hole and lock it by the Top lock knob .
2. Insert the base of the Shoe Head into the camera’s Hot Shoe Adapter.
3. Rotate locking ring clockwise until Hot Shoe Adapter and light are securely
locked in place.
4. Rotate light to align with the direction of the lens.
1. Rotate locking ring counter clockwise to loosen.
2. Slide out shoe head and light assembly.
Using the HDV-Z180/HDV-Z180S
1. As the figure shown, slide the AA battery compartment cover in accordance with
the arrow direction, to open the Battery Compartment Cover.
2. According to the positive and negative icon install six AA batteries. Or insert a
Sony NPF lithium 7.2V Li-ion battery into lithium battery holder (Note: select only
one power supply of the two) and then close the AA battery compartment cover,
the cover will snap shut.
3. To turn on the light, rotate dimmer knob clockwise. Rotate until desired
illumination is achieved.
4. Rotate CCT knob to produce color temperature (Just for HDV-Z180S).
5. To turn off the light, rotate dimmer knob counter clockwise .

Use of an external power supply
After use
1. Turn off the light, remove the battery.

2. When not used for a prolonged period, please remove the battery.
3. Before storage, make sure the photographic light is cool.
