OUTLET BOX
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal
injury, mount to outlet box marked acceptable for fan
support of 15.9 kg (35 lbs) or less and use mounting
screws provided with the outlet box and/or support
directly from building structure. Most outlet boxes
commonly used for the support of luminaires are not
acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced,
consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.
ʆ
WARNING
Do not operate this fan with a variable (Rheostat) wall
controller or dimmer switch. Doing so could result in
damage to the ceiling fan's remote control unit.
Your new ceiling fan will require a grounded electrical
supply line of 120 volts AC, 60 Hz, 15 amp circuit.
If your fan is to replace an existing light
¿
xture, turn
electricity off at the main fuse box at this time and remove
the existing light
¿
xture.
Turning off wall switch is not sufficent. To avoid
possible electrical shock, be sure electricity is turned
off at the main fuse box before wiring. All wiring must
be in accordance with National and Local codes and the
ceiling fan must be properly grounded as a precaution
against possible electrical shock. Follow all wiring
instructions carefully. Any electrical work not described
in these instructions should be done or approved by a
licensed electrician.

INSTALLATION NOTE
It is recommended that each fan and the motor have ¾
Ý
plywood backing secured to a structural member for
adequate support (Figure 4). A 120 VAC electrical feed,
centered under the motor unit and wired to a 3 speed
control (supplied) is required. The motor unit will not
operate more than 4 head/blade assemblies.
To avoid fire or shock, follow all wiring instructions
carefully. Any electrical work not described in these
instructions should be done or approved by alicensed
electrician.
