First Time Set Up

Step 1: Configuring Your (DEK) Data Encryption Key

1.  Press and hold down numbers 1 and 3 while simultaneously 

connecting the USB cable to your computer or laptop.

2.  The red and green LED lights will turn on after 5 seconds, 

then release both buttons. Sequence is as follows: 

Step 2: Choosing Your Passcode

1.  Enter your desired passcode (0 -12 digits) followed by (#) 

to save. Both the blue and orange lights will turn off after 

successfully setting your passcode.

TIP:

 Failure to press buttons 1 and 3 simultaneously before connecting 

to the computer will result in incomplete DEK set up. If so disconnect the 

enclosure and complete steps 1-3 again.

2.  Re-enter your passcode and press (#) to confirm. 

3.  The blue light will turn on to confirm that your passcode has 

been successfully set up.

Green light only

After 5 seconds, red and green lights

3.  Press and hold (*) for 5 seconds, the orange LED light will 

turn on. If the orange LED light does not turn on, it means 

configuration mode was unsuccessful.
