2.2.2.2. You may define SMB and FTP Access by selecting a share from the “Existing Shares”
box and clicking the
button. To add user and group assignments to the share, click
to select the groups to add and click
either “Read Only” to allow read only
access, or “Writable” to allow read/write
access. Groups are denoted by a leading
“@”. To remove share assignments, select
the users or groups to remove in the
“Allowed” box and click the “Remove”
button. Alternatively, you may check the
“Allowed for All” checkbox to make the
share public. When share assignment is complete, click
to complete the operation.
2.2.2.3 Define Share NFS Access. The
MegaDisk NAS can allow NFS access
publicly, across an IP address subnet,
or to individual IP addresses. You may
define SMB and FTP Access by selecting
a share from the “Existing Shares” box
and clicking the
button. To add
individual host access to the share, check
“IP Address”, specify the host IP address in the entry boxes to the left of the checkbox, and
click the “Add” button. To add host access to a subnet, check “Subnet”, specify the beginning
and ending IP address in the entry boxes to the left of the checkbox, and click the “Add”
button. To remove access, select the host addresses to remove in the “Allowed IP/Subnet” box
and click the “Remove” button. Alternatively, you may check the “Allowed for All” checkbox
to make the share public. When share assignment is complete, click
to complete the
operation.
2.2.2.4 To delete an existing share, select the share from the “Existing Shares” box and
click
the “Delete” button.
2.2.3 Print Server Setting
The MegaDisk NAS will automatically detect
a USB printer attached and can share it
with the network. Print Server settings are
accessible by navigating to “Control Panel”
-> “File and Print” -> “Printer Server.”
You
may enable or disable the USB printer sharing
by checking/unchecking the “Enable” box in
the print server dialog, and click
to complete the operation.
2.3 NAS System Setting
The controls for managing system settings and services are accessible by selecting “System” menu
from the Control Panel. In this section you can set LAN port settings, set the time, get system
information, disk usage, set up error notifications, and turn off the server.
