IRONING TIPS
– Always check first if the item being ironed
has a label with ironing instructions. Always
follow these ironing instructions.
– The iron heats up faster than it cools down,
so you must always start by ironing the
items that need the lowest temperature such
as those made of synthetic fibres.
– If the fabric is made of several types of
fibre, you must always choose the lowest
temperature required for these fibres.
– Silk and other fabrics that are highly likely
to develop shine should be ironed on to the
reverse.
– Velvet and other fabrics that can quickly
start to shine should be ironed in one
direction using very little pressure. Always
keep the iron moving.
– Wool items (100% wool) should be steam
ironed. It is best to adjust the temperature
button to the maximum setting and place a
dry cloth under the item to be ironed.
– Never iron over zips or rivets, as this may
damage the plate. Iron around these objects.
