The default STC setting is “auto.” This ensures adequate bottom tracking in nearly all
conditions. In case of interference (for example, a large wake or a thermal layer), you
can override the auto setting. Start with a low number and gradually increase until you
have a clear view of the bottom. It is recommended that you restore this setting to “auto”
once the temporary interference has subsided.
Factory Defaults
Maestro Navigator is shipped from the factory with a selection of default (original)
settings. These factory default settings are designed to configure the sonar for optimal
performance. If you want to return ALL of Maestro Navigator’s sonar controls to their
original default settings, open the sonar control panel and press the
Factory Defaults
button.
The original, factory default settings are:
Sea clutter: OFF
Zoom 2X: OFF
Gain: Auto
Depth line: OFF
Auto range: ON
Upper range: Surface
Lower range: Bottom
Ping rate: 90
Auto gain preset: 0
Target detail: OFF
STC: Auto
Targets: Arches
