When you are viewing a Contour Chart and you decide to plot a course for a new route
or set an Instant Waypoint, Maestro Navigator splits the screen with a Nautical Chart
that covers the area you’re viewing.
You can then create your Waypoint(s) on the Nautical Chart. Once the Waypoint(s)
have been established, close the Nautical Chart to return the full view of the Contour
Chart.
Navigation by Marks
Marks can be used to navigate.
To set course for a Mark, touch
Go To, Stored Waypoint/Mark
, and select the desired
Mark.
If the Mark is visible on the screen, touch the Mark and choose
Go To Mark
.
When you’re following a route, you can add a Mark to the end of the route: touch the
Mark and choose
Add to Route
.
Marks on Contour Chart
Although Marks must always be created on a Nautical Chart, they can be viewed on any
type of chart, including contour. In the example shown here, the mark “Sunfish 2” is
visible on both the Nautical and Contour Charts when viewed together in split-screen.
On a nautical chart, a mark is indicated by a round, purple “M” symbol.
