Operation - High Speed Compact Disc
OPERATING THE EQUIPMENT
Field Operation
1. Move to the operator’s position, start the engine
and release the parking brake (see Entering The
Operator’s Position on page 79).
2. Move the tractor / equipment to the starting point
of the work area.
3. Stop the tractor and engage the parking brake
4. Unfold the equipment (see Unfolding: Transport to
5. Place tractor in Park and exit operator’s position
(see Leaving The Operator’s Position on page 79).
6. Set equipment to required tilling depth (see Setting
7. Move to the operator’s position and release the
parking brake. (See “Entering The Operator’s
Position” on page 96.)
ELECTROCUTION HAZARD
To prevent serious injury or death from electrocution:
•
Be aware of overhead / underground powerlines.
•
Keep away from powerlines when transporting or
folding / unfolding wings.
•
Electrocution can occur without direct contact.
AVOID SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
•
Do not stand under wings when folding /
unfolding.
•
Keep bystanders away.
AVOID SEVERE EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
When operating the equipment:
•
Always keep equipment level when operating.
•
Do not make sharp turns with the equipment in
ground.
•
Always lift the equipment out of ground before
making sharp turns.
•
Do not operate equipment with front disc blades
cutting deeper than rear disc blades.
•
Always place the hitch jack in the storage
position when operating.
•
Always operate the equipment with the tractor
drawbar pinned at center of tractor.
MACHINE TIPPING OR ROLL OVER CAN
CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
•
Turn on level ground. Slow down when turning.
•
Go up and down slopes, not across them.
•
Check for adequate traction.
