The working positions of the gears according to the
seed type and amount are listed below:
1. Position:
The
“narrow gear” in the middle operates
as single. It is used to plant the seeds having a size of
0.5
– 2.5 mm and a spread amount per unit area
(seeding norm) of 2
– 20 kg/ha (canola, spinach, small
clover, black cumin, sesame).
2. Position:
The “
narrow gear
” and “
1 large gear
” in the
middle work cooperatively. It is used to plant the middle-
size seeds having a size of 2.5
– 4 mm and a spread
amount per unit area (seeding norm) of 20-100 kg/ha
(perennial pastures, large clover, common vetch,
Hungarian vetch).
Note:
It is recommended to enable the same large gear
among all gears for regular flow of the seeds in the box.
3. Position:
Plantation is carried out by using the
“narrow gear” and 2 large gears for the seeds having a
size above 4 mm and a spread amount per unit area
above 120 kg/ha (barley, wheat, oat, pea, chick pea).
The slide cover, throttle and gear adjustments
described until this point are the adjustment related to
the seed structure and size, and applied
to maintain
the spread amount constant in any circumstances
.
The spread amount should only be adjusted as
described in
C.1.3. Seeding Norm (The Amount of
Seed-Fertilizer to be Spread) Adjustment
section.
The adjustments described above are not
intended to change the spread amount (seeding
norm).
