Adjustment of Slope
Adjustment Jacks
Ruler
Follow the procedure steps below for the height adjustment
of the pressure wheels.
Note:
Implement this procedure with seeding depth
adjustment for a healthy adjustment.
1. Step:
Lower the coulters to the ground.
IMPORTANT:
Do not adjust the height of the pressure
wheel when the coulters are lifted. The coulters apply
transverse load on the jack due to the type of
connection. In order to clear this transverse load, the
coulters must be lowered to the ground by using depth
adjustment lift and the load exerted on the connection
must be cleared before the adjustment. Otherwise,
adjustment will not be made due to the contraction on
the jacks.
Contraction may occur again during the adjustment. In this
case the contraction must be cleared by repeating the
procedure described above (by using depth adjustment
lift).
2. Step:
Mount the crank handle on the crank handle
junction on the jack.
3. Step:
Rotate the crank handle and enable the
pressure wheels to achieve appropriate working height.
The primary objective of this procedure is to determine
the pressure to be applied on the seed. Therefore,
application of high pressure on the ground by pressure
wheels must be avoided. You can understand the
contraction and extension states of the jacks by checking
the rulers on them.
Note:
The optimum adjustment of the pressure wheels is
that all the wheels rotate with the discs but the
submergence capability of the discs is not obstructed.
Simultaneous rotation of the pressure wheels with the discs
is sufficient for the pressure applied on the seed and the
adjustment is accepted as successful when this is achieved.
IMPORTANT:
The pressure wheel height adjustment
directly affects the height and pressure adjustment of
the harrows. The positions of the harrows must be
taken into account when adjusting the pressure wheel
height.
