C.9. Seed/Fertilizer Level Gauges and Resetting
Your grain drill has “seed/fertilizer level gauges” indicating
the seed and fertilize inside the box instantly. This
mechanical system which consists of a float, a pointer and
dial connected to the float, is capable of measuring
properly with its simple design.
Use of Seed-Fertilizer Level Gauge
Note: The seed and/or fertilizer box must be filled by at least
¼ to use the level gauges.
Setting up the gauges:
1. Step: Take the gauge float out of the seed inside the
box by pulling with the thin rope to which it is connected
and put it slowly on the seed.
2.
Step:
Repeat the procedure in the Step 1 for the float
in the fertilizer box.
By implementing the 2 procedure steps above, the
gauges on the front surface of the box become “filled”.
Note: The floats must be dried after each box filling.
Otherwise they cannot perform their level indicating
tasks.
Gauge Resetting:
The pointers of the level gauges can shift due to use or
external intervention. The pointers must be reset in certain
periods to avoid this situation and to enable the gauges to
perform their tasks properly.
Note: For resetting, the box must be empty and you will
need an assistant.
1. Step:
The float of the gauge that will be reset is
left in the bottom of the box.
2. Step:
Loosen the m8 fastening bolt at the center of
the gauge pointer while your assistant is holding the
float shaft stationary with adjustable pliers inside the
box.
3. Step:
The gauge will be reset when you bring the
pointer to the empty position on the scale and then
retighten the M8 fastening bolt.
