Black-out System Installation

Black-out material hangs loosely along the bottom of the side walls. For light deprivation, the bottom edges of the
black-out material will hang between a side pocket of black-out polycarbonate and the outer film covering, preventing
light from leaking into the greenhouse along the bottom of the side walls when the system is in the "closed" position.
1. Using 1.315" x 147" swaged tubing (131S147), attach a continuous run of pocket pipe to the inside face of the
YHUWLFDOKHDGHUVIURPHQGZDOOWRHQGZDOODWDERYHJUDGHOHYHO&XWWR¿WDVQHHGHG6HFXUHWRYHUWLFDOKHDGHUV
using QH1070 pipe clamps and FA4482B Tek screws. See diagrams below.
2. At every rafter header location, install a 131P034 section vertically, from the bottom of the pocket pipe to grade
level. Attach using 112316Z01D brackets and FA4482 Tek screws. Pipe will sit loosely on the ground at this time.
HELPFUL HINT:
For light-sealing at the corner locations, stick a 3' section of 111983 expandable foam tape along
the side of the 131P034 that is installed against the polycarbonate wall. Tape will expand and seal those gaps.

the inside face of the 1.315" pipe pocket. If applicable, spread a line of 112263 sealant under the tube before
